Mission: To create socially sustainable and culturally relevant opportunities for youth, young adults and families to foster change and hope through music and the arts. To create a space for peer-to-peer conflict resolution amid a growing number of neighborhood crime in Indianapolis.

Project Title

Project A.M.M.O. (Arts & Music Motivational Opportunities)

Briefly describe the proposal.

Utilizing Music and the performing arts, Project A.M.M.O. (Arts & Music Motivational Opportunities) will create an artistic platform of conflict resolution and peer-to-peer socialization. Lyric and songwriting, theater improv and artistic team building techniques will be used to engage, foster and create anti-crime and anti-violence scenarios and alternatives by giving program participants a release through artistic expression.

How will the project benefit the residents of this district?

The project will first provide residents a much needed catharsis and release from the current trauma being seen and felt in our city. Secondly, it will provide positive community engagement in a culturally relevant way that will foster hope and a greater sense of responsibility for each citizen to be an agent of change through the Arts.
